Capt Sagar Govindan is the co-founder of Yes Maritime Sdn Bhd since 2016 and he was appointed as Operations Director.

He is a Malaysian, aged 52 and graduated with a Diploma in Applied Science (Shipmaster – Ship Management, Nautical Studies, Shipping Business Management and Human Relations) from AMC, University Tasmania, Australia and obtain a COC Master Class 1 (FG) from AMSA, Australia.

He began his sea-going career in 1982 as a Deck Cadet Officer with MISC Sdn Bhd on board various types of vessels and moved up the ranks finally as Master. He then left sea-going career in 2001 joined various company - Schutter Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Marine Manager), Malaysian Container Liners Sdn Bhd (Operations Manager Shipping, Chartering & Forwarding), Malaysian Merchant Marine Berhad (Operations Manager Commercial Chartering & Operations), MISC Berhad (Operations Manager Commercial Chartering & Operations), Scomi Energy Services Berhad (Head of Marine Operations).

He has more than 34 years of working experience in the field of Maritime Shipping - Oil & Gas Support Services - Marine Surveys - Commercial Chartering & Operations (Veg Oil, Chemical, CPP, Crude, LPG, Bulk Carrier, RoRo, Liner, General Cargo) - Ship Management, Maintenance, Operations, Dry-Docking and Shipbuilding Supervisions - Marine Insurance - Freight Forwarding and Logistic.
