Capt. Michael Raj Augustine joined Yes Maritime Sdn Bhd in June 2016 as Marine Director.
He is a Malaysian, aged 57 and holds a Masters Foreign-Going Certificate of Competency, issued by the Marine Department of Malaysia.
He began his sea-going career in 1979 as a Deck Cadet Officer with MISC Sdn Bhd. on board various types of vessels and moved up the ranks finally as Master. He then left the sea-going career in 1994 and joined various establishments – Sarawak Shell Berhad (Marine Captain & Loading Master), Brunei Shell Petroleum Company (Marine Captain & Loading Master), Brunei Shell Petroleum Company (Head, Marine Assets, Contracts and SAP) and Technical Director with a Malaysian offshore company.
He has more than 37 years of working experience in the field of Maritime Shipping, Oil & Gas Industry in the following areas: Pilotage & Loading Master (Tankers & LNG), Rig & Barge Tow Master operations, Offshore Support Vessels (Operations, Inspections and Contract Management), Planned Maintenance System of SBMs, SAP and HSSE Management Systems.
